Welcome to the Able Device SIMbae toolkit overview.

This overview highlights features which are designed to accelerate the development of custom M2M applications.

• Step 1

  Use the Search key to locate the SIMbae development libraries.

• Step 2

  Use the Link key to link the SIMbae libraries to your Java Card Run Environment (JCRE) development tools.

• Step 3

  Remember to load your target wireless module with the SIMbae module script prior to executing your program on the SIM card. Note: these scripts are located in the SIMbae library.

• Step 4

  When you have a test program complete and are ready to download the program file to the SIM using your carrier’s over-the-air (OTA) download utility – obtain access to your network. Remember to include debug utilities found in the SIMbae library to assist in debugging.

• Step 5

  The SIMbae test tool assists you in downloading, running, and testing your program. Login to the carrier’s network, connect to the server, and download your program file. OTA allows your program file to be downloaded to the SIM card.

• Step 6

  Now test your program by using the test function key on the SIMbae test tool to debug.
